March 1, 2022

A report by TD Bank and Strategic Treasurer surveyed corporate treasury and finance departments about their practices, expectations, and outlooks. It found that after two years of dampened growth, companies are optimistic about the future. More than three-fourths of respondents expect significant increases in revenue in 2022. The respondents also noted a few changes resulting from the pandemic.

38%

of treasury teams recognized “security and control procedures” and “cash flow forecasting” as the second-most significant change.

31%

of accounts receivable teams indicated ongoing willingness to accept more payment types.

48%

of accounts payable teams noted an increased adoption of electronic funds transfer along with reduced use of checks.

The report, titled Treasury Perspectives, is available here.
